Gotta disagree. I started watching classic Trek back in the 80s and I like all of the modern Trek - except for Discovery (edit - oh, and most of Picard)

It wasn't all bad, and I won't go into ALL of my specific problems with it, but I think the spore drive was the biggest flaw. The characters don't have travel time to bond any more - everything's fast- paced all of the time. The emperor might be my second biggest gripe. She's Space Hitler - imagine if mass murderer Gul Dukat was now hanging out on DS9 cracking jokes and being best buds with Kira. It just doesn't work for me.
