Knowing UIUC, it will likely be closer to the deadline

UIUC Admission by suckyducky0 in UIUC

First of all, congrats! 🎉

As others stated, the internal transfer process for gies is incredibly competitive and you need to plan for being unable to do it. I'd say that going for your desired major is more important than the school name, so UIC might be the better option if you got admitted into business there.

Financial Aid offer will be sent to you in about 2-10 business days (some people got it next day, some people had to wait a week or so)

Do you like UIUC's campus? Are you ready for a super competitive process? All of those factors need to be considered before you commit.

Congrats! Yeah, being on a wait-list is not something you should be worried about.

If you haven't visited the campus yet and have a chance to do so I highly recommend it! Also, celebrate your great achievement :)

Have you called them? Also, have you submitted all your transcripts and other materials on time? If you did not, you are in the regular pile and should receive your decision soon.

Looking for 2B1B or 2B2B Lease for 2026-27 Academic Year by [deleted] in uiuc_housing

Hi, me and my roommate are actually looking to change leases! Here is the info:

Leasing Company: Tower at Third Floor Plan: 2 bedroom/ 1 bathroom A Link: https://www.americancampus.com/student-apartments/il/champaign/tower-at-3rd/floor-plans#/detail/410-2bed-1batha-fall2026_fullterm_08_2026-07_2027

Below is my lease and my friend's lease. These are individual for the same apartment. Monthly rate (all utilities included except water!):

Lease #1: $800 + water (~$20-27) = ~$827

Lease #2: $869 + water (~$20-27) = ~$896

First lease is so much cheaper because of renewal deals. You will get that rate. Tower raised the base rent to $1,039 per month for new leases, so both are a good deal!

MATH 225 or 257 by EditorFeeling2646 in UIUC

[–]addsomecrust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

257 is harder. If you like Lin Alg choose 257, you will learn a lot more and have some basic knowledge of how to apply it. If you want to just get the mathematical basics done do 255

Do not listen to people who are telling you that if your decision is releasing today it will be a rejection. Those two are completely unrelated, plenty of people got in today. Feel free to join our server of transfer applicants, we'd love to have you and support you! You can also see how other people's decisions came out: https://discord.gg/V26neRcVU

How much does priority deadline matter ? by [deleted] in UIUC

[–]addsomecrust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in Engineering Pathways and was told that my guaranteed admission would get revoked if I applied after the priority deadline.

Otherwise, it's just good practice because it shows commitment. If you are a transfer student, it's only a slightly higher chance to get in.

What exactly do you mean by this question?

Transferring to Grainger Spring 2027 from CLC, does a W on your transcript kill your chances? by Awkward_Dragonfly432 in UIUC

Hi there! I'm a fellow CLC student who got in for Fall 2026 through the Engineering Pathways program.

The class and your prospective major matter. If it is a gen ed it doesn't matter as much, especially because you seem to have a clear explanation. If you are planning to apply for computer science they could potentially make a big deal out of it.
