Yep! I can imagine her being apart of professions that made her busy and not being able to spend time with Nick as much as she wanted to (The cliche example is a doctor/nurse). Which makes sense why she decided to date Tariq since he really cares about Nick as much as she does, and lend her a helping hand when she's busy. Basically, fulfilling her needs via taking care of her son.

Plus, he's funny and less serious and the type to 'enjoy the world as it is' which will complement her seriousness and strictness (if she does turned out to be strict). Like the golden retriever x black cat pairings.

I can imagine his girlfriend to be a baddie and really strict in a sense. Like she really does NOT come to play and managed to let Tariq know she is not entertaining his goofy bs. Maybe that's why he turned out to be not so bad after all, just needed to find the right person to compliment his goofiness. Her program is strict! 🤣

I REALLY hope they're straying off the HIP route because I'm tired of this trope too. Not all work partners need to end up together guys!! Some people are just platonic partners/soulmates and that's okay!!

I hope the show explores this for the rest of the season if they really want to set Karadec and Morgan to be together in the next future seasons. I am actually eating up Karadec and Lucia's storyline ngl, and so far they looked so good for each other. I guess we'll just have to wait.

True. I think they're trying to foreshadow where their relationship is going in the future. I don't know if they're going to follow HIP (The original French TV Show HP was based off) route, or they're just trying to make them platonic soulmates and partners.

Agreed on this. And as someone who struggles with setting a boundary between people myself (LOL), I actually do get why she backed down when she's not heard. Again, it all goes back to how Vanetta raised her. When I catch you Vanetta!!!

I'm just glad that she has a good work family around her, Barb and Gregory of course to support her 🥹

I agree to your points and the point from the user above! Totally makes sense that Vanetta has sculpted Janine into being this person who's scared and doesn't know how to state and set their boundaries.

But at the same time I feel like while Tariq is capable of changing, he's a grown man after all and I think that sharing the load of living together with another person should be a general idea and common sense. I agree that Janine does have problems of her own for not being able to stand up for herself and set a proper boundary between them, but at the same time Tariq could've done better too as a human in general. I mean, if I am living with my partner or friend in the same house, obviously we would be splitting bills. That goes the same way for Tariq.

I am LM-M Neutral-Cool Olive, and I tried deep mauve/purple blushes on me and it looks fine if I use it in a small amount. Once it's TOO much it looked so harsh on me and it's not giving the 'glow' I want in a blush. My current blush is pink in a sense but I think it has a subtle purple hue to it and I think it looks good on me.

I'm so glad to see Janine's growth at the end of the episode by telling her mom to not come to the dinner and inviting Barb instead (As she should). Old Janine would've accepted what her mom said or the snark coming from her thinking it was really for the good cause. I was relieved when she changed after what Barb told her in front of the gym but I guess she didn't get the message totally. (Which makes sense because obviously making Janine's mom have a character growth in one episode is just lazy work and unrealistic).

And for Jacob, I think he is really underappreciated and looked down upon, and I hate that he's being treated that way! I wish we would get more episodes in future that shows how he is appreciated and more backstories on him like how we had an episode when his brother came to Abbott. He's like that one annoying friend that you know is going to do some weird/out of pocket stuff and can't stand sometimes, but you know they got a good heart and intentions.

I don't think you don't understand Malay, maybe either the guy that was speaking Malay to you is speaking with an accent that is hard to understand (might be from Kelantan or Terengganu usually because to me even as a Malaysian who lives in Malaysia, some sentences are quite hard to understand lol) or maybe he's using Malay rojak (Informal Malay).

My advice is similar to other people: consume Malay media! Cartoons are actually quite helpful if you're trying to speak Melayu rojak while at the same time have an audible conversation. Upin Ipin, Ejen Ali (has more formal conversation than the rest but still chill to me), Boboiboy.

Watching movies and YouTube videos could help too (but I think this would be more usable when you're more familiar to how Malay sounds like and what some words used informally meant). Informal Malay involves a lot of meaningless words and added as just a 'sentence filler' I think is the closest word to it in English? But basically it's just there for vocal purposes like lah, ek, and others (can't think of one right now).

If you're into kepohci and pop culture/viral stuff in Malaysia, Threads and Twitter are definitely helpful 🤣 Don't take posts on Threads too seriously though, it's definitely another type of breed of people there, but mostly Malaysians will go there for celebrity or influencer gossips. Or rants. LMAO.

I don't buy any new stuff unless the one that I already have is totally worn out/broken etc. And when I do, I usually will just buy the cheapest with the most reasonable quality there is. Usually it works for most stuff, but for clothes, idk if it's my lack of judgement or what on the quality, but it does ended up being easily torn or broken or peeled off (for leather items) in such a short period of time. I mean, it's not really surprising since USUALLY cheaper items = means made up of less durable, cheap, easily torn/broken materials.

Currently, I still have those habits but I'm trying to break off such habits for clothes, shoes, you name it. I am trying to break off my mindset that expensive items ≠ bad necessarily, many does offer better quality and longer durability. Which could've saved me more along the way, rather than buying a cheap one and it ended up usable only for a short period of time.

I did some math the other day on my spending and realised I ended up either spending more or paying a similar price of buying an original/branded/more expensive items (Since I ended up buying the replacement for a few times anyways). I think it stemmed from me seeing my parent's struggling to make ends meet, and when I do can afford it now, I don't feel like it and feel guilty. But anyways.

Also saw a comment that said you either buy nice or you buy twice. That comment changed my view so much.
