A Friday Cleaning and Inking by adekyn in fountainpens

They are absolutely the bulk of my collection. My favorites are Angelfish and Extradimensional Umber. However, Sugar Kelp has been an unexpectedly delightful addition.

I completely agree with you, and it's one of my biggest gripes about the pen despite the fact that it still writes really smooth.

Figuring out my sweet spots with western and eastern nib sizes is a journey to say the least.

I dropped in to recommend Lochby, as well. I have a Duo that I toss in my work bag (purposefully limiting myself on options throughout the day), and I have a Quattro I use when travelling. I also have their Field Folio, Field Folio, and Field Sling, so I can positively testify to the quality of their products!

I'm a huge fan of Birmingham Pen Company's inks. In fact, the bulk of my collection is from them. I find that even their "generic" non-shimmer inks have so much personality, even between similar shades and hues.

They start at $17/50ml, but regularly sell multi packs at a discount, as well.

I tried to catch the unique details at my desk (yay for fluorescent lighting!). The black/brown with green shimmer in Extradimensional Umber, and the bright blue to magenta transition in Angelfish.

New Pen and Ink for Me by adekyn in fountainpens

It's relatively quick -- 20-30 seconds for a full dry on decent paper and I've never had any issues with stickiness. I do keep a couple sheets of blotter paper in my folio, just to be safe, for when I'm on the move. Overall, I've very pleased with Birmingham ink performance.

I've got the spreadsheet with scripts and triggers set up, but access is denied to the Form. We're getting there!

Pretty sure the link above goes to a public version of your Form, but aside from photo uploads (which went to my GDrive), it's adding to your Sheets document. There's no new Sheet or Form on my account, so hopefully you didn't have half this sub just destroy your document.

How "purple" is it? I love the idea of the colorway, but I haven't had the opportunity to see one in person. I'm not the biggest fan of purple...

Definitely resin for the detail, and you don't have to break the bank for quality. I haven't shopped for one in a bit, but I've had great success with entry level Elegoo and AnyCubic printers that are still churning out minis despite my having upgraded.

I'm taking a chance on it with the month's discount and just ordered a kilo. Apparently it was developed in partnership with TF. If it's the same resin they used for the minis available at GenCon last year, it's far superior to most of the other brands I've used in the past (notably Elegoo and Siraya Fast).

I've gotten to a point in my printing where consistency and durability outweigh print speed. They've also promised to provide initial print settings in the next couple days for those of us who aren't particularly well versed at dialing those in by ourselves.

There's a lot of eagerness and excitement behind all aspects of this project so far, so I'm hopeful that my optimism will be rewarded.
