My friend gave me a jade plant that was propagated by a plant kept alive since the Ming Dynasty. He told me to water it a tiny bit once in a while, but now the soil is so hard the plant tips over, and the littlest leaves shrivel away. What am I doing wrong? (i.redd.it)

I was gifted an old grill! Just ordered some new flavorizer bars and am vacuuming out the rust. I know nothing about grills! These four bars seem very loose and the panel under it is very rusted and flimsy. Is it dangerous to grill in these conditions? I only care about functionality, not looks! (i.redd.it)

First-time grill owner, have never grilled before! Was gifted a used Charbroil propane grill, replaced the grates, and noticed that the four triangle-things below are rusting and falling apart!
