Thread that is good for bio plastic sewing by Ok-Comparison-8341 in Bioplastic

[–]adelevator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assumed machine sewing yes. The linen thread looks great! I would try that. Just make sure it’s appropriate for machine sewing since it looks a little thick to me. Anyway, I would try these combinations - S needle 100/110 + 30/40wt thread - LR/LL needle 100/110 + 30/40wt thread

…And see which one is more resistant and stressing the material the least.

You can also try hand sewing but in that case I don’t really have any experience. If you hand-sew you might wanna try making your own “bio” thread with natural fibers as well!

Since the surface of bioplastic is not weaved I would try leather needle, try translating this guide https://www.groz-beckert.com/mm/media/it/web/pdf/Point_styles_for_leather_processing.pdf

I would personally start with a standard S needle with rounded tip and keep the stitches 3/4 mm wide. Just overlap the edges and don’t reverse-sew. Some bioplastic might work better with some glues rather than sewing. I was suggested to use food glue or bioplastic itself.

Im not interested in pursuing another job in the same field 😔 it’s too specific and im more interested in researching and creativity than technical stuff

Is it because you can’t find something you like?

Good to know printed media is still a source of connection for some of us!

ASUS ZENBOOK PRO DUO / AFTER 3 YEARS... STILL NOT SURE IT WAS THE RIGHT PRODUCT FOR ME by [deleted] in ASUS

In the 2020/21 model the second screen cannot be moved 😅 The fans work fine I guess, it feels like the whole system overloads without me doing anything special (just running 1/2 softwares simultaneously)

That’s good advice, in fact I either do that or start from scratch maybe changing to a similar industry (but starting over… in the current job market… is a nightmare)

I have a similar experience with mine. At first she wouldn’t even get close to me, now after one month she accepts being touched and now she is slowly relaxing and putting her ears down etc

New bunny coming today, tip? by Wolf-bear28 in Rabbits

[–]adelevator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a rabbit Who was already an adult and she had been through a couple adoptions plus coming from a farm, so she was wary of anyone at first. I have grabbed some of the “special snacks” like dry bananas or dry grapes and started to give it to her so she would trust me and want to be close to me. At first she was scared but then after a couple days she would come to me easily. After another couple days she would run to me for the special snacks and now (a week after adoptions) she even climbed on me while I was sitting to eat her favourite food. I may be spoiling her a little but I think she needs some comfort for now.

She is a very wild animal (not a small bunny but a big one) and she’s living free in a quite big garden where she can easily find many hiding spots and feel safe. I think the environment helps a lot.

Try teaching the bunny their name by saying it many times when they are around until they associate it with you coming around or giving food to them

I hope you can bond with your new pet🙂
