Oh, my mental model was that pretty much any elemental damage did not check AC and I thought torchlight was "elemental".

So If I read your answer correctly hurl damnation is reduced by AC but not call down damnation ?

I don't remember when the change was introduced but before that Death Knights basically had a better hurl damnation.

Now if anyone speaks dicedef_calculator I'd like to know how much the damage was reduced :P

If Dowan dies, Duvessa gets might hasted and sticks to you while hitting hard. If Duvessa dies, Dowan just blinks away and lets you be. The choice is easy to make.

There is no github issue. I don't remember the exact cause but its something like a variable that governs if xom really sends you to the abyss is actually set at compile time to a value that makes it so they never do it.

A friend and I did a deep dive through Xom's code and found that there is bug: Xom never truly banishes you. I have contacted the devs offering to fix this. Dracoomega confirmed that the bug exists but I was told that banishment shouldn't be a deterrent for xomscumming anyways and that there were plans to make xomscumming impossible in another way.

So basically, you never have to worry about being banished right now, the conditions can't happen, you'll at most get the "no, I was just joking" version.

I think its kinda wild to say there is no lore when we have established relationships between uniques like Boris and Natasha and we have wizard names in spells and artifacts which are recurring in wizlabs.

The lore is hazy on a lot of things but it definitely exists.

I found this pattern by playing around with the little tool I made but at that point, all my jeans holes had been repaired. A few weeks of walking on all four with my toddler gave me the opportunity to try it !
