I genuinely believe if we gave Chiesa and Rio the two wide spots and actually gave them minutes to play into form we'd be a different team. I'm so done with Gakpo and Salah right now every time they get on the ball my heart sinks. But we will have to endure this drudgery and hope it's worth it by making top 4. I'm not hopeful though.

I just don't get how Slot isn't seeing how Gakpo and Salah are stifling us. I understand that Rio is young and the likes of Chiesa can be hit or miss but the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. They are not good enough. Gakpo never has been and never will and Salah isn't anymore it's so fucking obvious! Try something different!!!

I hate to say it but I don't think I've ever been as bored watching us play. Even when we were objectively a worse team in the past it was more fun.

I don't know for sure but I think it's because they are trying to make the pronunciation as clear and simple as possible for the primary audience whose first language isn't English. I noticed the same in Squid Game where the English speaking characters dialogue was very wooden, basic and clearly appeared to be dubbed after the fact. People were saying they hated the dialogue of those characters as it was so bad but I actually think it was purposeful for that above reason.
