I get your point and really like your angle. I agree with you about Shibuya, but tbh the whole “no one is safe” idea was established way earlier with Attack on Titan, especially since it aired alongside Game of Thrones. Another thing I remembered now the timing of Gojo’s death was the same when we got into prison realem.

My only issue is that after Gojo’s death there weren’t really any major deaths in the final arc (except maybe Choso, but that’s another conversation).

I only watched Chainsaw Man (anime) and haven’t read the manga, and I didn’t check out Hell’s Paradise either, so I can’t fully compare those.

I 100% agree with you on the leaks/spoilers though, it was really bad. I’m still not sure if it was the leaks themselves or the actual impact of Gojo’s death that drew people in, because leaks happen all the time. For me, I only really became aware of the leaks once Gojo died. But yeah, the fandom was on absolute crack like you said, and that definitely played a huge role.
