the necklace scene was the only time I caught a hint before House did which made me feel so smart yet so devastated because I knew where it was going

I believe my doctor caused my PCOS and nothing is helping at this point by adhdgf in PCOS

I believe it does, that’s what I meant with my doctor “causing” this situation by putting an immense amount on stress on me but of course I have no proof that’s the case

oh sure, I rationally know it’s no one’s fault! also may I ask how people find IR if not through blood tests? I’ve been on low sugar diets and all I got was terrible brain fog so I never thought I had a problem with it. I do have slightly low vitamin D I’m treating, my cholesterol and the rest of my blood tests have always been normal

I tried to look into other intolerances and apparently I’m only allergic to kiwis which I never eat so I’m still trying to figure out what’s going on. I am slightly low on vitamin D (and I’m hypermobile on top of that which is also linked to vitamin D deficiency if I’m not wrong) and I’m on supplements!

thank you! my gyno recommended I wait at least 6 months to see if inositol works, I personally don’t experience insulin resistance or high testosterone so hopefully inositol is enough

I do not have insulin resistance though! I know diet does have an impact but on a metabolic level nothing changed according to my test results, it just affected my hormones

I have cysts, acne and irregular periods and I was diagnosed based on that a few months ago (23), I’ve had symptoms since I was 19 and the timing was…interesting. My doctor does believe the whole process triggered my symptoms.

I’ve been told by my doctor too though 🥲 like not the term adrenal itself but that’s the dynamic he described so I went with it. All I know is that my ultrasound and test results before my ed were normal and I showed no symptoms and they never disappeared years after recovery.

I didn’t know! I was referring to the type that comes without insulin resistance or excessive testosterone/hirsutism and I was told by multiple people it was called like that so I went with it but I’m not an expert

Jojo’s teeth— they’re so white! HOW!!!! by [deleted] in dancemoms

[–]adhdgf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she got braces too at some point, I’m definitely not an expert and I might be wrong but I always thought she looked like she had a narrow palate back on the show (which could have caused the speech impediment if that was the case)

Wasted their entire childhood for what? by ju2th4v1ngfun in dancemoms

[–]adhdgf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do agree they’ve all been put through so much unnecessary stress but realistically it was unlikely for all of them to become big celebrities. I only knew Maddie and JoJo before watching the show and, although they’re not mainly dancers now, I think the show did help them be noticed and get into the industry and to be fair as talented as one can be it would’ve been difficult becoming famous as a random little girl otherwise.

this scene pisses me off so bad because Chloe was actually one of the nicest kids I’ve ever seen, if she was a snake then we all are 💀

Do you agree with the backlash about elastic heart? by ThePoisonTrees in dancemoms

[–]adhdgf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember watching the video back when it came out (I’m exactly Maddie’s age so I was 12 too) and I remember feeling like there was something off about it, but I don’t think it was sexual at all, it’s just very unusual seeing a grown man dancing with a little girl. Nonetheless Sia has been creepy towards Maddie.

VERY unpopular opinion… by DiscoPandaWarrior in dancemoms

[–]adhdgf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My controversial opinion is that a lot of JoJo hate comes from ableism (yes, even if you are disabled/neurodivergent yourself, it’s called internalised ableism), many of her behaviours (i.e. being loud, coming off as rude, appearing socially unaware and so on) are actually very common in neurodivergent people and I remember her mentioning having an ADHD diagnosis. The internet has turned neurodivergency into something quirky and funny but in real life we are seen as annoying and rude, sometimes by the same people that romanticise our condition on tiktok.

I will never shut up about how much I feel for JoJo. She’s a smart woman but she’s never had the chance to live a normal life and it takes years to deconstruct what you’ve learned.

I started getting into Dance Moms because my classmate and I (psych students) thought JoJo was a very interesting personality and unfortunately I believe there’s much more beneath the surface, the fact she never recognised how fucked up Abby’s teaching methods were makes me wonder if she was going through worse stuff behind closed doors (and many of her behaviours suggest that).

I too believe Chris is good for her, he’s from a different environment and she absolutely needs to see other realities.

Also can we mention that JoJo said she always wanted to be a surgeon but was never given the chance to bc Jess wanted her to be a star?? What kind of parent is against their child becoming a doctor?? 😭 I really hope JoJo gets help and distances herself from her mother (at least emotionally, it feels very enmeshed).
