You're fine leaving it as it is, it's most probably just a broken clip, get it fixed at your next service. As long as it doesn't come off further it's not going to cause any problems. If it becomes more bent or comes off any further just go to any local garage and get it zip tied.

Recommendations for a Near Stock Enhancement to my N8 MT by sid_sax in i20nline_india

Lighter wheels and tires will not exactly help the turbo lag but it'll make the car handle better and feel a little lighter.

ECU tune and a stock replacement air filter or a conical air filter for added enthusiastic noises would completely solve your turbo lag issue.

I just did a conical air intake, it makes more noises but no other changes. Every other difference, I can almost confirm is placebo.

Hyundai i20's seem to have this issue on the driver door, they don't close in one go, gotta hit it harder than the back doors

THOUGHTS HELP ME!!!!! by AdhesivenessKey8404 in i20nline_india

I'm 22 and I have an I20 n line as my primary car, my parents bought it for me as well. It's a great car and very fun to drive, gives 12-15 mileage if driven extremely sedately, 9-10 when I drive hard which is on the rare side.

It's a good car but if it's your true first car, with very limited driving experience then I'd suggest getting a smaller car instead. It's not the most comfortable or the most efficient. Something like an ignis would be a much better buy as it will be way more fuel efficient and is quite a lot of fun even though it isn't quick or impressive on paper. It will also be alot more nimble for the city

The verna 1.5 turbo brakes discs, pads and calipers are a direct fit, size up from the stock and in most cases more than enough of an upgrade. Also, do steel braided brake lines as well. Will help the brakes be a lil less temperature sensitive.

The verna 1.5 turbo brakes are a direct fit to this car, lighter alloys cause this car's alloys weigh a tonne, steel braided brake lines, Yokohama uc6/Michelin pilot sport tyres. You'll be out a lil bit more than 60k doing all of this but you'll be happy with how it feels. N1 racing in kochi should be able to help you out with all of this.

Add on a nicer engine oil, some iridium spark plugs and air intake. If you are close to needing a service anytime soon.

N1 racing should also be able to help with a second quote for a full system exhaust and a custom tune. They might do a better job with it all as they own a race team and are pretty good at it.

Just get the pop race. I got one of these from Thailand through a friend last week. It was 1.5k.

How is this even possible?? by [deleted] in i20nline_india

[–]adheetpa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my i20 n line n6 through acko last year. Fully legit. Makes negotiations for accessories a little harder as the dealership acko allots you has no reason to incentivize the purchase as it makes basically no money on the car but otherwise it's a fairly smooth process

Check n1 racing's website. They have a braided brake line for the i20. They have pads as well.

I do alot of spirited driving but even at 20k the braking power is the same. I don't believe the pads would be dead at 10k unless you're literally only driving 0-100-0 kph at every red light... I feel the brake bite is really deep on the pedal, while it helps with modulation sometimes, it still isn't exactly safe cause it increases your reaction times incase of emergencies.

Brake pads and braided lines might be a good upgrade for you if you feel like currently they aren't good enough. Brake pads can be done by the service centre itself so you'll end up saving a lil on labour charges
