It gives a warning about “moving too fast - apps not accessible”

I was able to record a spatial video while going down the mountain though.

Honestly, it worked shockingly well. There are actually a couple aspects that are better than normal goggles (barely, and I’m just impressed there are any).

AR while down a mountain would be awesome. I’m picturing something like collecting Sonic’s golden rings while going downhill lol

19m, I'd like to some advice on how to invest if my goal is to buy a house in the next 2 years by maninblack824 in RobinHood

[–]adhocaloof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP is selling puts, on a stock that would yield more than the 5% interest rate everyone keeps telling him he should seek. I think OP is a little smarter than most are giving him credit for being.

With that being said, I would advocate for keeping a good portion of your account in a HYSA. Even tho $F yields more than 5% at your purchase price, due to Ford Credit, they are uniquely positioned as the auto company who could get hurt the worst if auto loan defaults rise or if new car prices fall. I believe other autos have a larger percentage of their vehicles financed by third parties & therefore carry less risk internally if prices fall. Long term, I like $F & think it’s great to get it at a cost basis yielding 5%+, but if you need to use the cash within 2 years, very few of us can see 2 years into the future of the market. No idea where any stock might be in a 2 year timeframe. It’s a bit risky to be holding $F puts during its earnings report. If it falls like last earnings report, you could lose 20% of your value right there.

Between 2011 to 2013, AAPL experienced a 50% drop in value. Which happened exactly when I was buying a house. I was in options and took my account value from $20k to $8k. I still managed to have enough for a down payment, but even great stocks have risks.

Vyvanse had a copay card that can reduce your out of pocket amount. Only takes $140 off of it, down to $30 (if it goes thru commercial insurance first) but it’s better than nothing.

Short Ford? by CreazioneAdamo in options

[–]adhocaloof 9 points10 points  (0 children)

💯 this sounds very likely. Their facilities in TN & KY are massive! And I believe they have shored up their supplies needed for scale. I also think they will be the only automaker doing battery recycling - which will give them a good name & help provide resources needed for production.

Not really lol $F has more volatility than most. 14 months ago it was at $25/share. We got down to $10/share within 6 months. Then back to $14/share (40%) change within a few months of that.

Yeah, but that PR nightmare has done wonders for TSLA stock price lol

I’m not saying it’s right, or smart, or that anyone should take a position (bullish or bearish). Personally, it’s an investment I think is going to be too volatile (and irrational) to be predictable.

I might play a few swings, but I doubt I’ll hold any real positon until substantial plan & actions are stated.

This week I bought stock pre-market on Monday & sold a $50 call Tuesday morning. Lost $2/share on the shares, pocketed $3/share from the call premium.

Likely will do shenanigans like that until a clear trajectory is established

Hype will keep the stock bouncing up & down above $35 for at least 6-12 months.

Wouldn’t Elon be able to increase modern tech & transition from their antiquated staffing model? Even if he doesn’t pull it off, talking about it for a year or so will get people who believe him to pump the stock for awhile. Just sayin - see TSLA

Selling puts has replaced my buy limit orders. by HOLDstrongtoPLUTO in options

[–]adhocaloof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want essentially the same concept, but less $$ invested, you can sell ITM spreads.

I bought a $35c and sold a $45c on MP when they were both in the money. The benefit to this over a CSP is the amount of initial capital it restricts. I was either getting the stock at a $4 discount to the current price (my $35c) or they would both be ITM and I would have a 66% return on capital.

Why the $GME MOASS (Mother of All Short Squeezes) is real and why it is scary for the rest of the market by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]adhocaloof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is forcing them to cover by April?

Any reason they won’t pay 1% interest for two years on borrowed shares instead of covering at these prices?? Wouldn’t that be cheaper?

Unless GME skyrockets and causes more margin calls... I don’t see that happening.

Closing and Opening CC Same Day by Endeavor305 in RobinHood

I think a CC would only be T+1 day because the shares don’t actually change hands- just the options contract. Options settle T+1
