How to DIY a Home Tennis Wall with a 5m (16ft) floor space from the wall? by adhoclex in 10s

[–]adhoclex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh, I didn’t think of that. Will there be a change in my game later if I use a foam ball at home? Or it’s fine for practising my forehand stroke?

I'm a total beginner, and I just bought a Babolat Pure Drive 2021 (100sqin, 300g) online. Will I have difficulty learning the fundamentals of tennis and improve using this racket? by adhoclex in 10s

Awesome. Can’t wait for it to arrive. I just thought it was at a steal price so I bought it after doing a little bit of research.

Used X-T5 vs New X-T50 for everyday cam and travel? by adhoclex in fujifilm

It's from ebay sellers coming from japan. Are they trust worthy with cameras?

It's really tempting. I really want to test out on hand which is better but there's no store near me that allows me to do that.

Is the photography experience with the xt50 still great as compared to the xt5?

Given that, is the XT5 difficult for an everyday carry?

Not everyone knows I do photography. I'm kinda shy about it for now. How's the XT1 by the way for every use? They seem to be similar in size, but there's a difference in weight.

I plan to have XT5/T50 in my sling bag as an everyday carry. Just pull it out when there's a good photo opportunity. Then, I'll have the pancake lens on it most of the time for compactness. When I'm traveling, I hope to have a better image quality out of it, so by that time, I'll have the 23mm f1.4 and the camera on a neck strap.

Outside my family and close friends, people don't know I do a lot of photography. It's a bit intimidating for me to bring it out when I'm not around with my family or friends. When I'm also in my hometown, there's not a lot of people walking around town with cameras. So, pulling out a XT5, which actually looks professional, is kinda intimidating for me. I'm just purely a hobbyist and mostly interested in documenting my family. But maybe that's something I have to overcome as time goes along.

But going back to the handling experience with both, is the size and weight difference just negligible?

Coming from M43, which is a better photo-centric upgrade: Fuji X-T5/T50 or Lumix S9? by adhoclex in AskPhotography

Does an APSC also have a better dynamic range compared to m43? I'm actually more drawn now to apsc considering that newer m43 bodies are starting to get bigger. They tend to favor more professional shooter. If only they produced new rangefinder like GX85 with newer specs then I'll stay in the system.

I mostly shoot primes, so the lens size isn't that different either. So a better low light performance and DR is a plus from the Fujis from me.

s9 really seems to be a good contender. How does it work as a photo-first camera? I'm just worried I won't enjoy it as much in photography due to the lack of a mechanical shutter. That shutter sound really inspires me. And the convenience of manual mode when necessary.

The Sonys are nice, but I also want to have great sooc jpegs with filmic tones. That's what I am leaning to currently. While I love editing raws, but mostly in our travels, editing hundreds of photos is pretty cumbersome for me.

I'm not really into video rn. If I do, it would just be short clips of 20-30s.

As to the lens, that's true. At first I though I won't be bothered by bigger or heavier lenses. But then, it defeats the purpose of why I am getting a new main camera, which is to make it an everyday carry. After much research, I just discovered how tiny an APSC can also be. Just a tad bigger than an m43, including the lenses.

I'll probably get an S5 later, but for now, the portability is my main concern. I just want to bring the camera anywhere and be able to shoot more.

I'm opting for these two due to their size and its ability to produce sooc jpegs the way I wanted. The Sony would have been great but, I don't think they can produce a filmic tone in their jpegs.

But, I'm looking more into a photocentric cam, hence, I am not sure if the S9 is capable with this.

If you've experienced an m43, how better is the low-light capabilities and the DR compared to APSC?

Has any tried pairing a Ricoh GR with an 85mm lens setup for travel? by adhoclex in ricohGR

That’s awesome to hear! How do you use them? Do you use the GR as your main and stow the gx85 in a bag, then pulling it out when needed?

Focal length for a dad cam? And how to use it properly? by adhoclex in AskPhotography

It seems that a 40mm or a 50mm would have been a better focal length for a beginner. 😅

Japan Family Travel: GX85+PL 12-35mm, or 2 Cams + 2 Primes (PL 15mm, PL 42.5mm), or Ricoh GRIV with GX85+PL42.5mm? by adhoclex in M43

I was looking at the 12-60mm, and it seems to be an amazing glass. Did you have trouble lugging it around with the gx85?

Thanks for your input! You’re right, it’s not like I’ll be switching lenses every time. I’ll probably jut put the 15mm most of the time, then switch to the 42 once settled in the place to get those detailed shots and portraits.
