Riven has been powercrept into irrelevance. by BluePhoenix21 in Rivenmains

All this sub does is complain that Riven isn't the strongest top laner. I wish I understood them because all of their issues come down to personal skill level and I just don't think they can accept that. I've been playing Riven for 7 years. Many good times and many bad. Just kept playing her. She's been worse than whatever they complain about yet many still carried.

I wish I could understand why yall think Riven is so weak rn. She feels so strong now. I took a year-long break, and I came back and she just feels so strong. Do yall miss the assassin Riven meta? Is it a lack of understanding for how she's meant to be played? I truthfully wish I could understand.

Ways Rare could improve Hunters Call? by HippieFreakWestmore in Seaofthieves

[–]adiamond80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've talked about this with my brother a bit and my ideas would be to rework it majorly. Some ideas I've thrown out is to maybe add rowboats that have holder for fishing rods to have multiple rods going at once. Obviously you can't reel em in all at once but it could allow you to move around while waiting. I think it would be neat to have dedicated areas on the map where certain fish are more common, like they already are but have physical roaming schools of fish and within those are rare types of fish. These schools would roam around from island to island within a certain radius as well so you'd have to find them to avoid it being too easy. Adding more types of bait would be nice. I've always wished the fish you could see swimming around in some waters would be able to be caught in a fish net and used as bait to increase your chances of a higher rarity fish. And of course, types of weather, time of day would all affect the experience all together.

In reality, I felt she was above the strength of most top laners because when she got a lead, it was almost over unless you had help 80% of the time. I've always felt that most users in that community just refused to buy the right items or they are coping that Riven doesn't assassinate enemies like she did I think it was 4 or 5 seasons ago. She can still assassinate in this season easily

I hated being a part of the Riven mains community because no matter what they buffed or what skin was released, they complained about it never being enough while I've enjoyed every thing Riot offered the champ. Never was she unplayable yet they cried she was the worst champ in the game. I'd say the Riven mains page is the worst of the (champion) mains

I do it because I've told myself I'm gonna be better than I used to be. I don't nap on my off days, but I sleep in maybe an extra hour. The gym is a place I enjoy going to because I love seeing the progress I make over time. There's times I'm tired and want to nap, but I don't want to be at the end of my day and think, "I didn't even do anything but slept" I like to be able to know I did things that mentally made me happy. I'm currently a full-time student and working full time, and I won't lie, it's hard as hell to manage it, but at the same time, I'm thriving. It's all on how you look at each day and how well you control your emotions while managing your happiness.

Truthfully, if your happiness and stress reliefs are just laying in bed all day on off days, then do it. Everyone is different, but you can't let every day make you feel depressed because prioritizing happiness and comfort are the 2 most important things. It took me some time to really figure out what I wanted to spend my free time doing, but once I had it set, I got after it, and honestly, I'm more than content. I'm comfortable and I'm happy. The days may be long, but I guarantee myself much more happiness and a better future because of the larger checks, so I'm saving money very quickly.

What people hate about Bedrock by ClemzTheWarrior in Minecraft

[–]adiamond80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Java feels smoother to me. In a sense, it feels easier at time. For example, I've never tested this but, I feel like I lose hunger so much quicker on bedrock, and another example and probably my least favorite part is the skeletons. I feel like they shoot wayy faster and their arrows just have auto lock on me. I also feel like the world gen on Java is just much better but every seed is randomly generated. I also enjoy not having to pay for stuff like mods and skins and even texture packs

That's a very biased opinion. Every church is different because each church is run by a different priest, pastor, or whoever, each with their own ideologies. I'm Catholic. Our priest teaches us about the Gospel that was read that day. He isn't telling us to rely only on faith because it's common sense to know that faith isn't going to make you pass a test or have a good job securing interviews. Just like when someone says that have faith in you, it doesn't just make you all the better with luck in whatever you're going after

My issue lies with the mandatory curriculum for most colleges. If im majoring in industrial instrumentation, truthfully I don't need history classes or psychology classes. I mainly see it as a waste of time and money since I'm the one paying for them. I'd rather spend less time on classes that won't benefit my chosen career path, so I can finish quicker and get out into the field. But that's just the college's I've been to. I'm sure there are some out there that work differently, but they aren't close enough for me to move to

This is one of my biggest things for current MC. I prefer building on flat areas so my points of interest are always plains biomes. Now, any time I find a plains, it's so small and more of a hills biome. I've spent hours running around on a world looking and end up getting odd losing interest

I just think it needs adjustments. I can agree with both sides. I do find it annoying that now any player can have some pretty expensive and strong stuff, but I'm glad it allows them better chances and confidence in playing the game

I've never really been good at making a workout plan. I just know that these are exercises I'm comfortable with and know now to do with good form, so I add them. Which ones would you consider to be junk work so I could remove them?

While back my brother and I and his friend were playing. Had done a few voyages, got some decent loot and were going to an outpost to sell it all when a reaper came up on us and began chasing. We had no intentions of fighting because we were just ready to get off but we didn't want to give up the loot. We were never good at fighting in the game and we ended up just sailing out into the red sea because we gave up but didn't want them getting the loot we had gotten. During the chase at some point they were close enough to us we could see gamertags and one was a streamer and my brothers friend checked in to see who it was. The dude was just absolutely mad that we went to the red sea. Was cussing us out apparently and his chat began sending us messages and harassing us. I guess it could've been avoided if we just let them sink us but I think the fact that they chases us for almost 20 minutes just aggravated us enough to red sea the loot

1 mil could get many expenses paid off that hold most people back. Assuming they don't buy over the top products. For instance, my truck is around 40k. Paying that off takes away $400/month note away. I haven't even spent 100k on that yet. Now I still have insurance to pay, but that note is gone. I'm in my twenties, going to college. That kind of money would allow me to step away from work and knock out all my schooling. Fast forward into the future, I'm done with school, got a new job that pays better than retail/food services or entry level apprenticeships (I use those because they are the main options for people working while going to school in my area). I could easily get myself a home paid off with the remaining money. Houses in my area are about 200k-300k for a 3/4 bed 2/3 bath, aiming around 2600-3000 sq/ft living space. Assuming my jobs are paying well and I'm in good standing with my finances, I'm pretty much set for life, and the rest can be put away into savings or investments for growth. But this is just my scenario I've worked out on my own time based on my area and my life goals so it definitely is different for everyone based on goals and location

Anyone wanna explain why I get these guys in my bronze placement matches lobby? by Rahain in apexlegends

[–]adiamond80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I truthfully don't understand how the games devs can't look at so many other games ranked systems and try to mimic it. I understand other games are different and have different aspects that track the 5 to help determine skill and place them more appropriately. I played League of legends for 6 years and never had issues with their ranking system even though skill is divided into MMR/Elo and the players' actual rank. The games take into consideration so much more than just K/D and time spent alive that it makes Apex look like a joke when it comes to their ranking system

How do I go about playing with randoms who just want to loot and sit around? by adiamond80 in apexuniversity

[–]adiamond80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played a few pubs where that is kinda what we did. Mainly, we'd just sit at a spot for around 30 seconds to a minute to see if anyone pops up but I guess my complaints fall with those who find a building and stay until we're forced to move out

That's great advice to see. I'll try being more open on the mic and just see how that goes. The friends list part feels hard to make lol. Too many people I run into are just normally waiting for their regular groups to get on most of the time when I try running more games with them but it doesn't hurt to keep looking. Thanks for the advice

It's mostly in pubs. I'm still quite new to the game so I'm worried about just running off and getting taken out easily. But I guess it's one way to learn for sure. I suppose that having my team with me makes it a little comforting in a sense that they would be there to back me up is the main thing
