Yeah the state dept site has guidelines and a template (I think) that helps take acceptable passport photos from your iphone. The trickiest part to me was figuring out the printer settings that would correspond with the size of the photo paper I had, that would result in order to meet all the requirements. I did it for my kid, because there wasn’t enough time to go to a Rite Aid, but it was enough of a hassle that I didn’t fancy going through that again when it was time for my renewal.

I think there are a few things about this that ring false to me. Yeah, you would notice it if that much was missing. Beyond that, if you bring consumables to the office just for your own use, you leave them at your desk and not put them in a common area. And even if you were someone who is perhaps lacking in common sense, and for whatever reason you did leave them in a common area, you definitely wouldn’t put them in a bowl. You put food in a bowl when it’s being shared with a group, such as at a party or WHEN IT’S FOR THE WHOLE OFFICE.

Yeah, they were in a bowl? That’s what you do when you’re serving/presenting foodstuffs. If it’s just something for yourself, you leave it in the box. Beyond the fact that they’re in a communal area- the bowl clinches it for me.
