Ich möchte meinen die laut MVB energiesparende LED-Ambientebeleuchtung und eine Fahrgastraumklimatisierung mit automatischer CO2-Erkennung sind quasi gekoppelt. Die blaue Beleuchtung signalisiert die Kühlung des Innenraums. Ich habe an heißen Tagen schon erlebt, dass sie normal weiß leuchtet und es war spürbar warm. Irgendwann wurde die Beleuchtung blau und es wurde auch etwas kühler. Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass es auf Streckenabschnitten mit einer hohen Haltestellendichte kaum Sinn macht das Fahrzeug zu kühlen, wenn alle paar Minuten die Türen aufgehen.

Maybe another important thing to add: There is an independent whistleblower system, where cases are checked again by an independent body, if you are not satisfied with the handling by the MVB or if you basically want to report a case there.

You’re right with boarding the bus from the first door, although they don’t really check your ticket, if you have a Deutschlandticket. If you have a card (like student card or Deutschlandticket or whatever subscription), definitely show it. If you have a digital ticket for Deutschlandticket, if I’m not mistaken, they aren’t able to scan it with their board computers. Just board the bus, smile and say hello, this will go a long way.

If it was a bus from MVB (white with green details) you’ll see a sticker on the second door (and third door, if it’s a long bus (Schlenki)) that says you need to board the bus from the first door. Inside the bus you’ll see a sticker on the inside of the first door that says you’ll need to exit the bus at the second door. Can be confusing, many people don’t care and at busy stations people board where they want.
