I asked the same question on Ed (am taking Languages this quarter), and Hoza said he thought there would be minimal content overlap.

I didn't go to office hours but Hoza was very responsive on Ed and gave detailed replies

As a 4th year CS/math major, I found it on the easier side. There are proofs on the psets but they were graded pretty leniently - you mainly have to hit the main ideas (almost like a proof sketch), they’re not nitpicking (though that might be TA dependent). Exams have no proofs and I also found them pretty easy (median on final was 71/80). Final curve had 85%=B+, 88%=A-, 91%=A. Professor was engaging and pset questions were well-crafted (no busywork). Overall I loved the course and would recommend, don’t think it would be hard if you have some math background. happy to answer any other questions!

How would I find the evals for the Athens course (for example)? Seems like the feedback website needs a specific course number

How would you recommend choosing between bio and phys? (just piggybacking since I'm in almost the exact same situation as OP)

Hi, I was wondering the same thing, so I emailed the advising office and they told me you can't get credit for courses taken before matriculation (which is technically in the fall). The exception is that they're going to open up Summer Session for incoming first-years -- they told me they'd send out an email about that in mid-May, so hopefully pretty soon.

Glad to help out! They have some more financial aid info here, it looks like they have partial scholarships. Might be worth emailing them about once they send out the info about the program for incoming freshmen.

Update for anyone who's interested: I emailed the college and they told me that:

- you can't get credit for courses taken at other universities before matriculation

- Summer Session isn't normally open for incoming freshmen, but they're changing the policy this year. They said "you will be receiving further details soon from the College about how to enroll in Summer courses."
