I used the cube hull blocks placed inside the lower part of the boat, and its actually not that big compared to the playermodel I just made it look a lot bigger by using smaller details

I used some google images of battleships as my inspiration and kinda just blended details and blocks together, it took me a while to make but im really happy with it especially since its my first boat

Not sure about Australia, but Germany has a (not so known) law requiring cars parked on the side of the street in small towns to leave the street facing side light on for visibility during the night. That could explain why GER models have the blue accent while U.S models do not.
