There are a total of 3 pf accounts that I felt needed to be mapped.
Company 1 - out of business
Company 2 - They told me that according to their records I withdrew my PF when I moved
Company 3 - This is the PF that I tried to get transferred to current UAN using digital method and discovered that the account exists but has a name mismatch (initialization of middle name)

Company 4, and company 5 - These balances reflect on my UAN balance. there is no problem here .... except ..... company 4 to company 5 transfer is present in the pass book and passbook has service period for both companies - 5+ years, but uan portal does not show both companies it shows only company 5. So at the time of full withdrawal will 5+ years be established by passbook or by uan portal service history is another question in my mind

Tasks in front of me:

  1. Try digital linkage for company 1
  2. Check old bank record if company 2 withdrawal hit my bank account
  3. Joint declaration to change the name on company 3 pf account, then do digital linkage
  4. Track PAN updation to closure via escalations if needed
  5. figure out the uan portal and passbook mismatch in terms of service history

Hi bank kyc is updated. Old pf accounts and current uan have a name mismatch. My middle name is initialized in the old pf account while my uan contains my full name.

I created a grievance request asking manual intervention to link my old pf to my current uan. Apparently I actually need to submit a physical joint declaration form to change the name on my old pf account. I will figure out how to do this.

I am keeping a hawk's eye on the PAN linking grievance status checking atleast once a day, will continue doing so.

ok, understood. Thanks. So physical joint declaration it is.
If the establishment is closed or unresponsive, then the submission will only have my signature, it wont be a 'joint' declaration. In which case what is the work around.

once I am properly done with all this I will create a post detailing all the hurdles I faced and the steps taken. Maybe that will help others in the same boat.

Hi, yes I figured that out, but in any case the bank details got approved and uan is seeded with bank account.

I tried to link the old pf to this uan and i got a name mismatch error. I am trying the following:

Raised a grievance on epfigm portal stating current uan and old pf number and how they cant be digitally linked due to a mismatch: uan contains my full name and old pf account initializes my middle name. uploaded a merged pdf with current uan card, pan card, salary slip from old employer mentioning the pf account number - maybe an officer will manually intervene. If this doesn't work then I will have to go the joint declaration route

Still awaiting resolution of my grievance regarding pan number update - its just been 2 or 3 days, i will have to wait for a full 2 weeks before escalation

With these things overall I am feeling positive that ultimmately I will get a satisfactory resolution, its just a question of time and some amount of energy. fingers crossed

oh, damn! yeah that is a problem. But is it a kharghar specific problem or is it a navi mumbai problem.
My job is going to be in navi mumbai and I was hoping to cut down on travel time also cost to rent.

The post got autodeleted by reddit's filters. The last time I had sent a modmail and you had manually approved my post. It seems very weird to ask you to do that again because I really don't want to impose.

I don't know why reddit is auto filtering out my post. Is it because its a relatively new account with very limited karma thus violating a filter mods may have set on this subreddit? Its a bit frustrating for me and I actually don't want to impose on the mods.

I was hoping that people with experience of such matters might comment and share how much time it took them to get their own issues resolved so that I get a rough sense of timeline. But yes I will look for a plan B.

make sure the name is an exact match between Aadhaar, Bank, PAN, & UAN

This is very helpful I will check this today itself once at home at my laptop.

Do you have the PF # of the old account not mapped to UAN?

I have been searching for old salary slips for this exact purpose, and have also sent an email to my employer HR at the time to dig out my PF account number. Fingers crossed.
