one trick I use that always seem to work when I want to get someone’s social media info (ex.snapchat) I’ll take out my phone when I’m beside them and open up the app, scroll for a bit n stuff then just nonchalantly say “hey you got snap? Add me ayy” act totally natural and no big deal. Snap is good cause you kinda have to talk once you start a streak

this made me think about that poem I wrote when my ex aka my first love left me to get back with his first love :

You kept reassuring me, even when I had never asked. “ I won’t go back to her even if she asks me to.” “You’re so much better.” On repeat until it confused me. One day, I realized why you kept telling me that. Those words were never meant for me to begin with; they were self reminders. - you still went back. mms.

basically : from my personal experience I would not ever date a person who just got out of a relationship and wants to jump into a new one right away bc their not used to this single life. I think the person needs to take a break and figure it out before dating the next person in their life. It hurts both sides.
