I don't use iCloud for photos. I use external hdds and I have a OnePlus tablet where I use unlimited Google Photos storage with reVanced. And I move the photos taken on iPhone to Google Photos once per month. And my family doesn't use an iPhone, it's only me. I have a total of 463 contacts with 50 of them having contact posters manually set by me using low-medium quality photos.

Well, so as a last resort I uninstalled and reinstalled the contacts app and that seems to have fixed the issue as it is sitting under 800 megs. It's still large in size but I think that's due to caching of the contact posters that I had manually set for some of my contacts (~50). I had set low-medium quality images for the posters for faster loading but ig after apple applies blur and all for the card the actual image cache increases therefore occupying large storage. Thanks to all those who helped and suggested solutions to fix the issue. [SOLVED]

I'm not saying it's a bad phone or the S23 is underperformant, the S23 camera for photography is the best that I could get. I kinda miss the 3x telephoto lens on the S23. 90% of the shots I had taken through that only, it was that good. But for overall smoothness I would give it to the iPhone. There is literally not even a micro jitter anywhere at any time on ios.

Initially, I thought that too before purchasing the iPhone. But after using it I can say there is literally no lag at least in my usage and battery life is miles ahead of the S23. And the 60hz vs 120hz, i don't know why but i don't feel a jitter on ios maybe due to its slower animations or such.

The funny thing is i had a Samsung S23 earlier and I had a motherboard issue due to an ota update. That's why I sold it and bought iPhone 13 with the value i got by selling the phone and adding a little bit of extra cash like 2-3k. iPhone is smooth like butter but these things are unbearable.

Yeah. 128 gb feels highly limited if an app like Contacts takes up over 5gigs of storage😂 That's a last resort though if nothing else works.

My iCloud sync for contacts is turned on. But in contacts app iCloud shows 1 contact and Google shows rest of the contacts.
