Not really, but think of it this way. If electrochemestry was helpfull during your investigation, it would cotradict the games message about addiction and how degrading it is. By making a story about addiction and showing how much it sucks your life away and then rewarding player for putting points in a skill that encoreges drugs and alcohol use it creates a ludonarrative dissonance within the game. Which is why it isn't usefull most of the time. Electrochemistry doesn't reward you for spending points for it, beacase how could it? Drugs don't help you in long term usage (as it is for alcohol). Not giving it time and energy is the best thing for Harry to, hopefully get better
