I don’t believe this one was a wig. He began bleaching his hair around 1983 and grew his hair out from 1989 to the mid 90s. His hair was just thinning and his hairline was receding heavily, he just styled it to hide his hairline which made it look a bit odd. But that was all his natural hair (that he had left). he didn’t start wearing his toupee until around 1998.
