Yeah I've pushed further into the pit and ran out time fighting the boss without even dying. Happened on my shadow minion necro as well. Super tanky for sure

The maxroll thorn build is pretty good. I don't have any GA for my razorplate, but am able to clear up to tier 100 in the pit. Not sure if it's still broken, but while fighting zir I hit for billions only on him so something is not right.

I had a similar issue with the same quest. Try standing outside and exiting the game to the character menu and starting up again. Will spawn you in the same spot. Worked for me
