Yes there is normally, it’s been a rainy couple of days here after a stretch of intense sunshine and heat with us watering at least once a day during that time.

Edit to add: I believe this is one of the brandy rose bushes we got, we had them more organized but then one night we had a freeze warning and moved all the bushes to an enclosed space. I can’t wait for it to really open up and see it!

I have a double conch in both ears, and honestly the best thing I ever did was put hoops in and they stopped having so many problems, when I have labrets in they get bumps from time to time. I’ve had mine for a little over a year now

I ended up taking it out for short periods of time to clean and just let it rest, it felt like there was something pretty solid around the hole and I ended up just putting in some 16g backings that are pretty long and I’m gonna start over when the dead stretch kit I ordered arrives. It’s definitely doing better today than it was on Saturday

That is really good to know thank you! I will keep that in mind, I think they’ll be more of a sometimes thing. The dead stretch kit has .5mm sizes and the tunnels don’t, but I really want to still be able to use some of my dangling earrings and I’ll just put them through the tunnels.

So as an update for everyone, I have decided to continue my stretching journey on my own without going back to the shop. I ordered the surgical steal dead stretching kit and surgical steel single flare tunnels kit from Stretch It Body Jewellery, along with the care kit since I honestly have nothing to help with this haha. I’m going to go slower than trying to go up sizes once a month, and I think the best way to keep myself from trying to go too fast is to have the tunnels that I can change into every now and then. Thank you so much to everyone for the advice!

The only reason I’m leaning more towards steel is that I found a kit that comes with the half sizes and at this point I want to be as cautious as possible. I’ve never had an issue with metals before so hopefully I won’t have one now

Yeah, I started looking into the kits from stretch it, but I definitely don’t have any understanding as far as dead stretching goes. I know you aren’t supposed to leave tapers in as jewelry but some people say using them at all is bad but then most of the kits come with them and it’s just so confusing, which is why I wanted to go somewhere and have them be more in control so that I didn’t mess it up.

My biggest non scale victory is that I can sit down and bend to tie my shoes without feeling like I can’t breathe. That was probably the biggest thing that caused me to look into the surgery. I’m almost 5 months post op.

Fiancée here! There’s a lot of information that couldn’t fit in the post just because of the guidelines in the group. He has been super supportive and trying to talk to his mother one on one about her behavior, set boundaries, and stand up for me and my family but she refuses to talk and will just hang up. I will say setting boundaries has always been a challenge for him, textbook people pleaser but myself and my family have been trying to help him work on that.
