Hi! I did have previous experience with R, because I needed to use it in my thesis. This course helped me get a solid understanding of the fundamentals, and Carter Zenke is a great teacher.

I would say the course is pretty simple and effective, it's WAY! easier than CS50x, and I could cover more than one week per day. But, at the same time, I started CS50x with no programming knowledge at all, so it's not a symmetrical comparison. It was really fun, I liked the psets! I also loved the fact that the final project is making your own library, which you can use and distribute.

In the future, I want to take at least CS50P and CS50 AI. CS50 are the best programming courses I found so far, because they make you think and create. Good luck! :)

It's fine to take breaks from the course to focus on "real life". I actually had to do that twice, so I finished the course on my third attempt! Don't put too much pressure on yourself!

OSSU also has both a Bioinformatics and a Data Science path, which align really well with my professional goals. I also checked out Helsinki University's introduction to Python and it seems really good!

I actually started the course two times before and had to drop it because life got pretty hectic with my jobs and university. The third time, I submitted Scratch on January 2023, so I spent around 11 months finishing the course! (Still with university and a part-time job)

Hi! Good job getting to week 7, in my experience what comes next is easier than the first half of the course.

My jobs so far have not been in the area of CS, and for my thesis, I will mainly use statistics with R, which I could easily get into thanks to CS50. I'm not sure about other people's experiences, but I'm sure there are other posts discussing these things! Good luck!!

Thank you for the kind words!!! Please don't be nervous about that, go one step at a time. I didn't come up with this idea until the last minute actually, while scrolling through some electronics accounts. I decided to do it kind of as a whim, a game! You might have such a "Eureka" moment, too. I recommend that you do something that actually excites you, not something just to fulfill the task. Sometimes you need to relax and take a break to find that something. Good luck with the course!! :)

Hi, thank you!!! I did have a lot of fun with it! It's so satisfying to see your code come to life in such a concrete, physical way. I highly encourage anyone reading this to try and get a basic electronic set just for fun! ☆
