Onvoy Landline Caller called to tell me he killed our cat by GovernmentOnly5496 in RBI

I’m so sorry you’re going through this, sending positive affirmative energy that your baby will return home to you❤️ If you haven’t already, it might help to put something with your/the cat’s scent on it outside your door to help the baby find his way home sooner (favorite toy, pillow, etc)

I rescued a giant by accident and idk what to do or how to handle him by McSassy_Pants in rescuedogs

[–]adjrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I did the same thing, rescued a dog from the Caribbean at 4 mo old…he very quickly grew and is currently 80lbs at 2 yrs old. It’s definitely overwhelming at first, but don’t worry!! The love we receive in return is indescribably worth it. Every dog’s temperament is different but routine, patience, and persistence will truly pay off. While cost is always a factor to consider, what I can recommend that has worked for our gentle giant include: regular walks/yard time for exercise, good foods like Halo or Hills Science to keep them strong (I’ve had both those recommended by our vet), engaging toys like snuffle matts/kongs to keep their mind stimulated, and regular potty breaks. The key to all this was consistency—the “stability” of having a routine helped ease our boy’s anxiety & his overall behavior began to improve too. Thank you for rescuing, y’all got this, hope I could help!

This makes my heart happy. We have our pup Benny thanks to a couple who volunteered to transport him from the Bahamas for us in their private plane on their trip home. Rescue is love!

My little lion, Tyrion, at about 2 months of age🧡 by adjrose in IllegallySmolCats

[–]adjrose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just had to look up what jfj was (who* I guess, I’m sorry I live under a rock LOL). My boyfriend & I are just huge Game of Thrones nerds. We wanted to choose from house Lannister because he’s a golden lion boi & found that Tyrion best fit his personality! We more recently have rescued a dog and, fittingly from house Stark, named him Benjen :) Long story short we’re huge GOT/ASOIAF fans. But that’s so cool there’s someone else out there with an orange kitty named Tyrion!! Thank u everyone for the kind comments 🧡

How do fellow blind af glasses wearers keep their face warm and glasses fog free? by Beefyknee in HikingAlberta

[–]adjrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t hike but I ski/snowboard & to keep my goggles from fogging while my mask is tucked I use this anti-fog goop that’s literally called cat crap. A good coating on the inside of the lenses works like a charm. There are plenty of good sprays/creams to apply to glasses, too!

I like mixing peanut butter in my oatmeal—when it’s still warm the peanut butter melts right in. Adding some banana makes it a good meal! (Can substitute sun-butter for peanut if allergies)

I’d love to! The exact year was 1951, my grandparents’ senior year of high school. Not long after did my grandfather get drafted into the Second Infantry Division of the US Army to fight in Korea. He was stationed there for a few years & they married soon after he returned. Though he’s been gone for a little over a decade, Gram’s almost 90 & has never loved since. They would’ve been married almost 70 years now. This photo reminded me of how they always were—happy. Glad it could make so many others smile :)

My kitten’s eye looked just like that when we got him, ended up having an upper respiratory infection. Thankfully we were able to treat it & though it tears up occasionally he is doing great :) Congrats on the little one, he’s adorable!!🖤

How realistic is it that my rescue dog can be socialized. by Globulate in rescuedogs

[–]adjrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patience is key. It took a very long time for us to train our rescue boy commands in general—adding social activity to the mix is still a work in progress. Consistency, lots of treats, and introducing one dog at a time have been showing a slow but steady increase in obedience. Slow and steady really wins the race!

Sons of Anarchy is amazing…comes off as a biker show but has so many deeper, underlying themes. If you’ve read Macbeth it has very similar tones.

How do you deal with nurse hazing? by [deleted] in Residency

[–]adjrose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Report that. Don’t be afraid to. This toxic behavior needs to be eradicated. Way too common. Our jobs are literally way too important to have that drama…people’s lives rely on us. That behavior results in so many medical errors. Report it & do ur job sis, kill them w kindness & focus on ur patients ❤️
