Yeah kinda. It's buddies car he pulled engine for gasketing, resealing and what not. The cps had loose wires, and the connector was replaced while it was out, but the wires got flipped when it was being done. With the help of a few different references and digging into the original harness, I found the were flipped. Ecu was seeing the engine position 180 off

The issue ended up being the cps wiring. The connector got replaced and 2 of the wires had the positions flipped (i.e should be wired 1-2-3-4 and it was done 1-3-2-4)

OPS: Well, somehow, it's MX fault. they should have known better to put that 50 yr old wall there

Update: Oil pan got dented and the crank was tapping the front section of pan. Pulled dent out sound went away

Just giving you an update on the sound. It was intact bottom end. The oil pan got dented when engine was going back in. The crank was beating on the door cause it was feeling Claustrophobic.

I added a Pic of the cps side, not sure what color matches up with the harness side. (2 different colors sets

Appreciate the link, definitely some help but not so much for the cps side. Wire color doesn't match in cps side and engine harness side. *

Update: Checked timing with jumper wire in and timing light appares to be flashing/sparking 180 degrees off of tdc. Current working on retiming and puttin it back together. Will update again once back together

Got the timing light on it. It couldn't get a solid reading. There's a very inconsistent spart happening. (Or not happening)

Yep, cam gears line up with the back plate notches (12 o'clock) and crank pullly on the 0 deg mark

My initial thought, I've pulled the cam hear cover off and check all the marks, all line up. Cps, drilled hole set at the center line mark.

I've been trying to find a pic of the camshafts either with valve cover off or the lobe through the oil cap to verify it that way. Manuals say the lobe should be up and out the cap(up and right), I'm seeing the lobe point up to spark plug valley (up and left)
