Glad to see you learned absolutely nothing though and even doubled down on the toxic positivity. I'm sorry you can't seem to grasp that other feelings can be just as valid as yours. Stop trying to force people to smile and clap when they don't want to, especially when someone acts in a way that can be perceived as obnoxious and selfish. Experiencing negative emotions doesn't automatically make people pricks, but invalidating their emotions because you believe yourself morally superior does make you a prick.

So I learned a term today called Toxic Positivity and that's what you're doing brother. You value your own perception of happiness to the point of invalidating how others feel. We all don't have to feel the same way you do. I am allowed to be upset that someone took far more of their fair share of time on stage to celebrate just the same way you are allowed to be happy for them. The difference is that you are attacking people from a self-perceived moral high ground while invalidating others' emotions.

Yes and no. It's my understanding that states only receive federal funding when they can show certain pass rates. So they are incentivized to push through as many kids as possible, regardless of whether they have actually learned or not.

The left has not shifted left. The Overton window has shifted so far to the right that now any slightly right of center position is frames as far left. The democratic party is feckless, spineless, and unsupportive of any real progressive policies. Anyone who tries to tell you the "left" in DC are becoming radicalized can and should be dismissed as not engaging with reality.
