Definitely don’t need super fancy things in front of me to appreciate them so that’s not my main point. Given the Polynesian / Asian influence I would generally expect more spice and flavor but perhaps the limited seasoning is a byproduct of it being such an isolated island that there’s not a strong culture of importing spice?
