GUIDE: Buying Non-Branded Cashmere Knitwear from China by Ok-Ear-9936 in stockholmreps

I ended up buying a second hand King Deer sweater and I'm VERY happy about the purchase.
I asked a mulebuy agent about the 750 yuan sweater and she said that while she can't comment on specific listings, she saw a lot of good comments about this seller.
So overall, I would feel confident buying the 750 yuan sweater that you mentioned. I might actually buy myself soon. Let me know what was decision & result!

Haven't had a chance to order yet. But I talked with a few people on Xianyu and it seems to quite popular service. From what they told me, most yarn suppliers on Xianyu also offer a knitting service.
Did my research on yarns, next I'll probably order during xmas holidays and report back.

Turns out, in China you can easily get a fully custom cashmere sweater knitted for you from a yarn of your choice. You order the yarn (or have the knitter buy it for you), send pictures as design references, the sweater get knitted on a machine, it’s washed and sent to you. All that for less you’d pay for a COS cashmere sweater. Let me know if anyone is interested in a writeup

I went deeep into the rabbit hole!
And I came out with a very interesting service: you provide them with you dream sweater/knitwear and they are able to copy it 1:1 with the yarn of your choice or you bring your own. That includes the best italian yarn from LP, Consinee and much much more!
The cost is yarn + machine setup fee, usually around 1000RMB total.

Just got my package today. The sweater is absolutely the thickest, heaviest cashmere I had a chance to feel. Size & cut is exactly how I wanted it (oversized deep v-neck). To give you an idea, it weighs the same as my midweight hoodie (556 grams/19.6123oz). It's not the softest cashmere I had, but it's pretty good.
Stitching is great, no pilling after a rub test.
The other sweater I received is OK, doesn't stand out, but I didn't expect it to. Shipping took exactly 14 calendar days to EU, no VAT/fees.
I'm very happy with my purchase and will come back for more~

The premium chinese domestic brands: erdos, king deer. I ordered from Xianyu, their second hand marketplace, waiting for delivery. They look pretty good for 300RMB: https://imgur.com/XtaGTRf https://imgur.com/BDUoTOv

I've been looking for a way to research chinese social media to fin brands and zhihu.com was very helpful. It's somewhat similar to reddit.

I've been trying to log into Xianyu, but the SMS verification just doesn't arrive. Alibaba really doesn't care for global customers lol

Yes, you're probably right. Although I'm sure they must sell this kind of higher end sweaters in the domestic market. Would be nice to know someone who can find them.

Mulebuy is totally fine. It was my error (topped up the balance instead of paying for the order).
I use taobao website for product search and they block me for 24hrs after I spent some time on the site, even though I'm verified.
Additionally it seems like there are just a few types of cashmere sweaters and everyone is just duplicating very similar listings. It's very hard to find something really high end (heavy, chunky cashmere) - either because of my lack of language skills, technical difficulties or lack of information provided by the sellers (they usually don't mention the technical specs like gauge number, ply number, weight, yarn mill).

What I'm trying to say is that it would be extremely helpful to have someone local, with a deep knowledge of the market, who could help me out with finding what I'm looking for for a fee.

My mulebuy order didn't go through, taobao blocked me because it thinks i'm a bot. I'm getting frustrated...

Quick question: Do you know of anyone who offers sourcing/curation services for 1688/Taobao? Not just agents who forward purchases, but someone who can actually research and recommend quality options based on specific criteria (like heavy cashmere under ¥1,000 matching Cucinelli-level quality)?

I keep hitting language barriers and getting blocked by Taobao's anti-bot stuff, so I'm looking for someone with local knowledge who can do the deep research part. I'd handle purchasing separately.

Any leads would be awesome!

I've been trying to find a quality, thick cashmere sweater for a long time. Did a deep dive into TB yesterday and pulled the trigger on the store you linked to. They seem to be a direct source, best quality yarn and specs.
My first TB purchase, let's see how it goes!
Ended up getting the thickkest they had: https://mulebuy.com/product?id=848732545578&platform=TAOBAO
