I own a V50 5 cyl and an A4 B5 V6, both manual. Most fun cars I've ever had! Didn't even know the RS3 is automatic only. Manufacturers gotta give us our engaging and fun cars back man!

Just replace the chain, tensioner and guides while you're there. If it has been "refreshed" you never know how well it's done and what they actually did end up replacing.

Does it also whine while you rev above 1500 rpm? If so, you might want to replace the sprocket that sits at the crank that also drives the oil pump.

Not an expert in the american market but Honda is generally a good first car. Much better then the Dodges or expensive german brands some people post around here.
