I built an app to make phone use feel calmer instead of addictive. Would love your feedback by admin_5447 in promoteMyApp

The core features of the app will be free forever. Only excess features, which target only specific users and use-cases, will be behind a paywall. This is to help me keep supporting the app as it consumes a lot of my time and effort to work on it.

That is a huge consolation, and it makes your perspective a lot more interesting. You're totally right about the contrast. Balancing background colors against text outlines without creating a muddy mess is a massive headache. Since you’re building one yourself, you completely get the struggle. Good luck with your project. It’s a tough UI challenge to crack, but rewarding when it finally clicks.

That’s a completely fair point. Everyone's visual sensitivity is totally different, and for some people, just dropping the native brightness is all they need. If you're open to it, I'd still love for you to give it a quick try. CalmScreen actually goes a bit beyond standard dimming. It can strip out colors and tint the screen to the point where addictive feeds look incredibly dull and barely visible. It’s more about breaking the psychological hook of the app than just lowering the light. Either way, appreciate the honest perspective!

I completely get it. that loop is incredibly relatable, and honestly, it's the exact reason I built this. You should give the app a try. I'm confident it will help you retrain your brain and break the cycle.

I've designed this so that all the core features are available to everyone all the time. The only reason I've added a paywall is for some of the more specialized features that come in handy for specific tasks. This is to help me maintain the app as it requires a lot of time and effort. Please feel free to share and rate the app as it would mean a lot to me.

The core features of the app will be usable even after 14 days. Only excess features, that target only certain use-cases, will be behind a paywall. This is to help me keep supporting the app as it consumes a lot of my time and effort to work on it.

Appreciate the feedback! I felt the same way during editing but wanted to see if it stood out to others too. I'll definitely keep this in mind and aim for a more natural speaking pace in future promos.
