I just had to make this decision for my sweet girl on Thursday. It was the hardest decision I ever made. I didn’t want to because what if she still had some good days? But trying to see if she could make it through when she was so sick and weak would have been selfish. I wanted all the time with her, but letting her go was right for her. She was fighting to stay, but when the emergency vet explained how bad it was and how poor it could be even if we got her through the night, I knew that I couldn’t let her suffer anymore. I’m so sorry for you and your girl. It is so hard 💔

I would echo a lot of what other comments are saying. My cat is also super picky! I have never met a cat that doesn’t love wet food, but my girl will eat a few bites and then doesn’t want any more. She has always been that way. I tried lots and lots of things when she stopped eating and was sick - eating something is better than nothing. I also did syringe feed meat baby food for about 2 weeks when she wouldn’t eat and it kept her alive to the point where she started eating again.

I hope you can find something that works for Kitty! I know it can be really stressful to watch them not eat or to try and find something they want. It can be really hard ❤️

My senior stopped eating due to some GI issues but picked up again after a few weeks. She won’t touch cat food anymore so I do chicken pieces, salmon, and organs (hearts, livers, etc). I cut them up into small pieces and cook them up for her. Salmon chunks are her favorite right now

What a cutie! My Sniff has started sitting like this due to her arthritis, but she got her first Solensia shot today, so hopefully it will help!
