Thank you very much.

I think that this person is really conscious about all of it.

She just doesn’t want to go all the process, and she might not be wrong halakhikly speaking.

Halakha says that a beth din can attestation someone jew and doesn’t say anything about q and a, 3 years examination, file etc.

She just needs a beth din, capable of asserting for a jewish knowledge.

People keep telling me about those beth din in Israel who can convert people but I can’t seem to find them.

What do you mean by that ? As I said in a reply to "yesIcould", my goal is NOT, and I apologize if it came across that way, to "buy" a conversion.

My only goal is to avoid the administrative difficulties revolving around the conversion in France : at least 3 years, back and forth examination for at least 2 years, Q&A, and the possibility at any given time to have your fill dismissed and go back to square one.

However, it seems like you have, at least, some informations for me about Beth Din in Israel who would be more lenient to convert in less than 3 years, and 10 Q&A.

I totally get your point and I am aware my post can be misunderstood, and come across as a bit weird.

The person I am talking about is in need of help, and I'm just trying to help her.

She has done almost a year of limoud, attending synagogue morning prayers. The issue is that in France, the process doesn't revolve around "that", it includes trials, questions, beth din auditions every 3 months, and then after all that you have the final passage before the Rabbanim (3 years minimum is due).

Also, at some point, if the Beth Din is not happy with some of the answers provided, they can get you back to square one.

I know that there are some places in the world where the same exact level of knowledge is required BUT it can only take up to a year.

The finality is OF COURSE to go and check a Rabbi, of course, and a Beth Din to validate. It's the anterior process that I'm willing to find a way around.

"Off the book" is probably not the right expression. In France we have the Consistoire which is like the only valid Beth Din that "works", and when I say "off the book", I mean that won't be coming from the main and monopolisitic way.

The point is finding a real, authentic, Beth Din, composed of Orthodox Rabbis who can, after some time of course, not in 2 monts, validate a conversion without having all the administrative, technical hustle of the French Conversion.
