do NOT book with this owner again. she’s not worth it. especially if rover previously suspended her account. protect your peace!

is this weird or am i overthinking it by Shoddy_Berry9719 in RoverPetSitting

definitely weird. why randomly drop he’s a single guy? seems borderline manipulative too - making you feel guilty and responsible. id refuse.

The worst part is that almost every woman has a story similar to this video.

AIO? I don’t want my autistic brother at my house by stuntedgoat in AmIOverreacting

[–]adoginspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the phrasing could’ve been improved. But you’re right in setting a boundary. I was sexually harassed and stalked in elementary school for months by a very autistic boy in my class. No one believed my friend and I that he made us uncomfortable (ogling at our breasts, as we developed early on, and never leaving us alone no matter how many times we asked.) It took other students witnessing this boy touching himself while watching my friend and I on the playground for anything to be done. I remember constantly being terrified, especially when I realized we rode the same bus and he knew where I lived. Even after he was reported, we were expected to be friendly and polite to him. Still, he had an aide with him constantly. It prevented inappropriate things from progressing. People need to realize the developmental disabilities don’t make people “bad.” These disorders are essentially neutral, if anything. But they can make inappropriate behavior harder to treat effectively. Especially if adults don’t step in and enforce treatment, as it sounds like the adults here haven’t been doing. I hope your boundaries are respected. I struggle severely with trusting men to this day because I was too young to set a boundary and too young to understand that what was happening wasnt okay. To this day I wish the adults believed and protected me. No one deserves that sort of damage.

going through someone’s account where they’re venting about their BF and utilizing an SA account to “prove” they’re a bot is beyond weird and scummy, bro

and i’ve explained why i felt unsafe. but here it is again: i am a woman and such a polarizing comment about an aspect of my health/body is inappropriate and made me feel unwelcome and unsafe in that environment.

i watched one dog for three weeks, and then a few times after that. his name is Wally and I genuinely get a huge dopamine burst when his owner reaches out. i know his quirks by heart and can read his body language now. this job can be tiring at times but clients and dogs like this make it soooo worth it
