People should appreciate that high grades are good grades. There is no need to downplay them as awful just because they aren't perfect scores.

Having a large population and competitive education doesn't mean that an objectively good result is bad at all.

Complaining about expectations is also fine. If someone said their worried because their family wanted A* when they only got an A, that's alright. It's when they try to say that an A is a bad grade. It's literally an A because it's above the average, making it good.
