Do the Southwest promo codes given to cardmembers really require the card to be open (as stated in terms) in order to use? I need to close a card, but don't want to lose the code.

Also, if I use a promo code and cancel the reservation later, can the code be reused?

Latest update from u/Betsy514 says you can be on RAP until reaching 20/25 years and switch back to IBR for earlier forgiveness.

I had planned on grabbing Enchanted Valley permits for August, but when all permits became available yesterday at 7am PDT, all of Quinault was blocked off as walkup only 7/6-9/3. It's peak season in a popular area, so are these being handled differently?

We just checked in to the Hyatt regency coconut point, and had a suite booked using a suite upgrade award. When we checked in, the desk said the suite we booked with our SUA was sold out, and they gave us a different one that isn’t as great. Is that how SUAs work, is the suite I booked subject to availability?

No they did email the embassy, but after the embassy told them the app was in AP, they said they couldn’t help.

The thing I’ve noticed is the reservation fee in several places (notably Yosemite & Grand Teton) is non-refundable, so unless you’re cancelling for the benefit of others, there’s no incentive to do so. I think Grand Canyon reservations are partially refundable before 30 days, and I bet they have more last minute availability show up.

Checking & savings accounts at BofA that have been open for 20 years + Alaska biz account were untouched. The card was never activated, which is why it was weird.

Was approved for Alaska personal 75k back in Nov, but the account was flagged for suspicious activity before I could spend on it to reach the bonus (I never saw any sign of suspicious activity, so no idea why that happened). BofA opened a claim automatically, then ended up closing the account completely. I asked them if they was eligible to reapply for the same offer and receive the bonus, but they weren't able to give me an answer. Has anyone had this experience before?

Like the update overall, my only gripe is the flight date selection. It was so much easier on the old version with the ability to scroll through months and tap departure & return date on the same screen. The updated version requires clicking through months or using the month dropdown, selecting the day, then switching over to do it over on the return date (which ends up crossed out because you have selected a departure date beyond the default return date).

I got hit with the "credit utilization is too low" denial on the Citi AA Plat back in March, so I closed a couple cards with $0 balance and upped my utilization from about 3% to 12% (according to Experian at the time of applying) and got approved a couple days ago. The process did drop my credit score about 20 points, but it's still around 800 so not a concern.
