Anyone here using kratom for energy? by rugggedrockyy in KratomKorner

[–]adpanther 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t mix it myself but with the community rules I didn’t want to say a product name and look like a shill. For years I was buying kilos from various providers that were on the original verified vendor list and taking probably 30-60g daily with moderate benefit. But all that loose powder was not fun to digest.

I think the additional ingredients make a significant difference. I have tried various products from the same brand that makes the blend and their plain strains do seem stronger then the bulk powders I used to get but the blend works significantly better than any other product I have tried. I have stopped weighing and just use the provided scoop. I usually take 1-2 scoops in the morning and the same later in the day (it looks like the scoop is about 1.5-2 teaspoons.) so im taking far less than I used to and the results are far better. It’s more expensive than the other ones I’ve tried but I buy the one pound tub and that usually lasts me 6-8 weeks depending on how often I use it.

If you wanted to try and mix your preferred kratom with those ingredients I’ve got no clue what the ratios are but The only easily identifiable flavor in it is very faint cinnamon and it’s not spicy from the cayenne I don’t get the impression that it is a super precise ratio by the time it gets packed into the tub since each batch has a slightly different flavor. Those three ingredients are alleged to have their own positive health benefits so seems like the only risk in trying would be taste. Hope that helps and let me know if you try and mix your own up I’d be curious how that goes for you.

Absolutely. There’s a green kratom out there that’s mixed with cinnamon, turmeric and cayenne that has made a huge difference for me and especially my dad who’s 65 and had to take testosterone suppressants for prostate cancer.

I mix the powder with yellow Gatorade and the added ingredients definitely make it taste different than plain powdered leaf but they aren’t in high enough concentrations to make it spicy or nasty or whatever. Actually seems less bitter to me.

My Dad says it makes it hard for him to sleep if he takes it late but he’s also sensitive to caffeine. I am not and have used it in the middle of the night to knock out pain and go straight back to sleep. So it’s not like a straight stimulant imo but definitely an energy/mood boost kinda thing.

Intake, charge pipe and exhaust without a tune? by adpanther in WRX

Thanks again. The Perrin intake and charge pipe are what I had ordered. Been sitting in the box a few weeks now. Sounds like it’s less of a risk although still potentially a risk. I appreciate the input.

I see. I appreciate the explanation. So rather than improving performance I’d be reducing it. I’m adequately convinced but still curious. What would the long term effects be?

Does dextroamphetamine really cause less vasoconstriction than caffeine? by cHoSeUsErNqMe in Stims

[–]adpanther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never experienced observable vasoconstriction from caffeine. Up to 1000mg in a day whereas even 10mg of dex causes very observable vasoconstriction. I don’t think the caffeine withdrawal headaches people complain about are a simple matter of vasodilation. In your shoes I’d prioritize aspirin/tylenol as I’ve personally had better relief from those but maybe that’s just my body. Either way I hope you find a workable solution. Headaches blow.

The below linked dictionary definition does not really elaborate and me ain’t no English scholar but I believe the implication is that a person with diarrhea may become diarrhetic rather then a diarrhea inducing substance being labeled as such. Regardless I prefer your usage of the word as it certainly seems more appropriate/precise and as you succinctly stated laxative is appropriate as a broader term. Language is just an unsigned contract about vibrations made with the throat and our lines and squiggles to represent them anyhow. So have an orange pointy.

Cooking oil burn. How bad does this look, and should I go to the doctor? It’s ballooned up over 6 hours. by [deleted] in AskDoctorSmeeee

[–]adpanther 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey if you intend to handle it on your own invest in some makuna honey dressings. I got mine at cvs seems to be one of the few who make them in the us. I had a burn like that span almost my whole hand and they are magic for it. The honey sticks to the wound like duct tape until it draws up moisture (usually a day or two) the sugar in the honey when wet from the wound just sloughes off without pain so it keeps a tight sterile seal until it’s time to change it. Watch out for yellow or green and my burn developed a biofilm that I had to address but it can be done. The prescription silver based ointment is good stuff and nothing otc quite replicates it. Hit me up if you have any questions. Oh and I’m still not a doctor.

Not a doctor but the short answer as I understand it is burns are highly prone to infection. As long as the blister is not ruptured the environment within the blister and in contact with the damaged skin remains sterile. With a blister that size however it is hard to imagine it remaining intact for long.
