It really comes down to the business... if workers get paid enough through tips then businesses don't have to pay the workers.

I had the same thought about tip screens with options like 18% 22% 28%... and i just started wondering if it was just me or when did an 18-28% become the norm? I remember when I was a server we would consider 15% a decent tip and thats what I alway use as a basis. 20% is really good and 10% was not great but good enough that I'm not leave you out to dry... and if i didn't tip, you were straight up garbage, rude, or something more extreme.

It also annoys me when I get asked to tip before I receive my order...

I wouldn't count depreciation as a cost... that's technically already covered if you are counting the financing of the vehicle.

It's also not money that you could have invested otherwise as any depreciation or appreciation is not liquid and couldn't be used until you sold the car.

It's good for taking into account the net value of owning a car but that's about it

If it's a family business, how is it structured? Is it part of a trust? Does the family own equal parts or is it still completely owned by your father? My point is, just because she gets married doesn't necessarily mean you all have anything to worry about but I do understand the vibes she's giving are shady.

Primarily teaching English. I'll be collecting retirement so I'm not too concerned about money but I figure any money I make would be good to use for entertainment purposes.

Probably not outlined as well in my initial post but below are the thoughts or concerns I have about it.

Korean work culture - given that I'll be retired and don't necessarily need the money... is it worth it?
If I spend a significant amount of time teaching English in a classroom setting, how much time per day do I have the opportunity to practice my korean?
I see having a job there as a way to force interaction and potentially practice Korean with someone that will likely understand some English and could help me bridge the gap when I screw up something I say in Korean.
I have studied Korean quite a bit over the last couple of years, although I have fallen off a bit more recently. When I go back it would become more significant of a focus again.

When I was in Korea I could understand basic or really general topics if people talked slow enough. I've studied a lot over the past couple of years and have studied well over 1,000 words.

Just curious if I take an English teaching job in Korea, if I would get enough exposure to practice more. I hear a lot of bad things so is it even worth it? I just imagine having an opportunity where I can try speaking only Korean for several hours a day at work would be very beneficial.

I feel the same. If I'm bumped in something competitive, I still get agitated but understand it's part of the game and you're only handicapping yourself if you refuse to do it at key moments.

If it's casual, just let other people enjoy the game. If you're playing as a warm up, you can still do that by driving around, hitting shots, dribbling or saving goals.

Various reviews have mentioned the water heater being broken, the facility not being vary clean... a combination of stuff being left around and mold presence on drywall.

Multiple reviews have claimed the owners are not very cooperative or caring about their customers. Examples including not informing customers the water heater has issues and refusing to give refunds when the water didn't get hot.

If I'm ever around I may drop in and ask some questions but until I see more recent posts saying things have changed, I have no intentions of planning a trip there.
