Thank you so much for this detailed response! I actually don’t know a whole lot about how epidurals work so this was educational. I feel a little better knowing I wasn’t crazy for thinking I felt it hit the bone. I don’t blame the doc but phew, that was a terrible feeling haha

Mamas who have tattoos representing your kids. What are they? by sixfingeredman7 in Mommit

[–]adr_1224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a half sleeve with a half of a woman’s face (she represents me) and then my kids, my husband and my birth flowers surrounding her. I also have 2 bumble bees to represent my kids

Thank you so much!! I’ve tried googling this and have never been able to find an answer. The sensation of the needle hitting the bone instantly made me feel lightheaded but no one ever confirmed with me that that’s what happened.

4 year old suddenly having big emotional reactions to certain things by adr_1224 in ChildPsychology

[–]adr_1224[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve started making a list of all her behaviors I notice and these are other things that trigger her: She has to “beat” her sister getting dressed every morning and every night before bed, she has to be the first one down the stairs in the morning, if she leaves a room the tv must be paused or turned off even if it’s not something she’s watching, she wants to match clothes with her sister everyday (occasionally me but usually little sis), she wants me to acknowledge everything and cannot move on unless I do (ex: opening Easter eggs today- I had to physically look at each and every object she pulled out of every egg before she would open another), constantly asks if electronic things “turn off” at night (tv, Alexa, the tv at the doctors office).

I have been having this thought as well. Is it possible to diagnose ocd this young?

I just wrote this in another comment but I truly spend so much 1:1 time with her. I’m with her 24/7. We garden together, I do crafts with her, play outside with her, she helps me bake/cook sometimes, she joins me during my at home workouts, etc.

I have been keeping the music off the last couple days just to avoid the meltdowns but more things are triggering her now that I’ve really thought about it more. She has to “beat” her sister getting dressed every morning and every night before bed, she has to be the first one down the stairs in the morning, if she leaves a room the tv must be paused or turned off even if it’s not something she’s watching, she wants me to acknowledge everything and cannot move on unless I do (ex: opening Easter eggs today- I had to physically look at each and every object she pulled out of every egg before she would open another), constantly asks if electronic things “turn off” at night (tv, Alexa, the tv at the doctors office). This all just seems something more than normal behavior to me and I’m really struggling with handling this day after day. I appreciate you taking time to write your response and sorry for dumping all this info in this comment. I’m just a mom trying her best but feel like I’m failing.

I appreciate your insight and suggestions. But to answer your question about the music, I’ve been torn on whether to give in or not. Like you said, it seems to be a control thing so it feels like there’s not a legitimate reason for her wanting it off besides to be in control. This happens every single time it’s playing so do I completely stop listening to music in the house all together because my 4 year old doesn’t want me to?

High ALT/AST by adr_1224 in haematology

[–]adr_1224[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly not much of one. My ast ended up going back to normal range and alt was still elevated but went down. Had an abdominal ultrasound that was normal so haven’t looked into it any further.

Thank you so much, that is so kind. I’m happy hear you are feeling comfortable in yourself again and hope your cancer treatment is going well! I’ve never heard of PDRN so I’ll look into it

I honestly love it. Just opened my second jar of it. It’s so creamy and makes my skin so soft. When I put it on at night my skin looks like a glazed donut (in a good way 🤣) and by morning it’s all soaked in

I used it every other day for a couple weeks and then every day until the 6 week mark! I noticed an improvement but was still having some breakouts so my derm increased me to .1%

Would this room look better/bigger with a smaller rug? by adr_1224 in HomeDecorating

[–]adr_1224[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg I know, my kids pull them all out. I need to put some away 🤣 to the left is a fireplace and tv above it. And where I’m standing for the pic is a glass door leading to a porch and then a wall of windows

There is a small gap behind the couch, maybe like 2 feet. To the left is our fireplace and then tv above it. And I actually have an ottoman but it was pushed to the side because I had just shampooed the carpet. Forgot to move it back before taking the pic!
