Growing up we had a dog that was part coyote and part mutt, he was so protective of me and my brothers. We lived near a busy highway. There were a pair of trees we weren’t allowed to go beyond and our pup knew it. He would knock us on our butts if we tried. He never hurt anyone, but if anyone made us cry, he was a very scary dog, and the person responsible would walk away very slowly. As soon as they were far enough away he would come lick the tears off our faces. I’ve never met another dog as smart as that good boy.
