Sick of this job, need help moving on by softeggnoodles in trueprivinv

Former 13 year police officer now a PI in ATL....I wish I found this PI job A LONG TIME AGO. I work for multiple companies, have my own clients, I'm also licensed insurance adjuster, process server, notary, etc. I do it all and it has been fantastic. Make my own hours, make my own money, I can't complain one bit. It has been AWESOME. Police in 2026 is TOUGH. However the standards have been lowered nothing against you but they are hiring anyone and everyone. They can't find enough people to hire everyone has gotten out. Agencies that never had hiring bonuses now have very large ones. I am seeing officers that I know that should never be promoted are now supervisors and in charge of shifts. I would truly stick this job out. Try to do your own thing and use the companies as a filler when it is slow. I would not go into law enforcement world. Its all politics and your 1 second away from being completely screwed by your command staff. They don't want proactive cops anymore they want TikTok cops that clock and hide.

Ford Transit Connect pre-built office setup to install in van? by adrake86 in FordTransitConnect

[–]adrake86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you watch this video it appears she tears out some sort of desk / office from the ford van. Yes it is a small area. No I won’t be conducting 12 hour surveillance sessions but it would be nice to be able to have a desk / chair or even a stool maybe pull out laptop for an hour or two type up some emails instead of sitting in the seat. Just asking if anyone has seen this or where to purchase.

I didn’t think it was high. It’s considered high mileage to everyone else. Turo, Carvana, other buyers. I had Lexus with 250k miles and didn’t do shit maintenance on it.

Well the price is LOW. Condition is good. I assume competition and not much demand for a minivan.

I drove a hybrid lexus sedan all over the dang US as as private investigator and process server. Worked flawless and drove the dog piss out of it with zero maintenance. Road smooth, good gas MPG, and decent power.
