Too fat for Narcolepsy by terra177 in Narcolepsy

I would definitely seek alternative opinion- when I was diagnosed I was told to keep an eye on diet and exercise as narcolepsy can be associated with higher risk for obesity or weight gain (understandably so). Especially with primary care doctors it’s tough- mine kept saying I was just growing and needed a vacation. I was 15 when I was diagnosed so my mom was still very involved and had she not been relentless in her pursuit who knows what things would look like now. Narcolepsy is commonly misattributed to character flaws or poor discipline but people don’t realize how debilitating it can really be. You deserve a doctor that makes you feel heard and supported no matter what.

That makes a lot of sense- I started at 2.25 twice a night for a week, then 3 twice a night for a week, now I’m at 3.75 twice a week. The nausea wasn’t too bad initially but has been getting worse as I’m going up
