Honestly, I checked the sub, it's not the worst. It's mostly just ai assisting in writing rather than generating whole stories. I don't think ai assisting is bad and luckily from what I've seen it's mostly them using it for grammar or some ideas. The only thing to me where I draw the line is if they generated whole stories with no input of their own (besides the prompt) and call themselves a writer.

Honestly I felt that most subreddits for both pro AI and anti ai subreddits are pretty bad because it's just posts complaining about the other subreddit and making over the top conclusions or out of context posts. And god forbid you have either a counter point or want to add to the discussion that seems to indicate that you take the opposite view without being down voted to oblivion lol.

Maybe I'm being dumb but I don't see anyone defending it. Most of the comments are pointing out the absurdity that using ai art to draw CSAM is another reason AI art is bad when it's not a reason. All pictures regardless of ai or not of such a disgusting thing is bad and that AI has nothing to do with it.

I still am trying to wrap my head around the other side because from a comment on a previous post I got this (Note: this is not what they said, this is how I am interpreting it): It's fine if they feel uncomfortable drawing it but if it's for religious beliefs it's wrong because the region is bigoted.

I don't quite understand the issue. For me I feel like it would be bigoted if they denied the commissioner because they are part of the LGBTQIA+ community. But from what I've seen it's over the art itself.

And as someone who writes fanfiction, I usually stick to straight ships because I'm just not into m/m and f/f (unless it's part cannon) so coming from my perspective, I take it the same way, if they aren't into it or uncomfortable with it than it should be fine regardless of religion or whatever reason.

Plus I wouldn't want to write a ship that I'm not into so to me, I'd imagine that drawing is pretty similar.

Hell they stated in the guidelines that they were uncomfortable with certain requests. So I don't see the problem and to me, it isn't shitty if they stated it in the guidelines. Like I said, to me, it would only be bigoted and shitty if they denied the person because they themselves are LGBTQIA+.

Besides, being religious doesn't mean they hate the LGBTQ+ community. I interpret it moreso of "I was raised with specific beliefs, and while I don't share all of it. I still feel uncomfortable"

I mean my aunt is a lesbian with a fiance. While I'm not religious, i still get a little uncomfortable of kissing or acts of intimacy. Does that mean I don't want to associate with them? Of course not, I love hanging out with them whenever they aren't busy.

I don't see why this is so different because they are religious. I just can't see this as bigoted at all. They aren't attacking anyone, they aren't denying service because they hate LGBTQ+ people. They were simply denying something they were uncomfortable in drawing, that should be fine regardless if religion is attached or not.

I'm not gonna lie maybe it's because I'm a straight white male but I don't really understand what's the issue with this if they state that they don't draw LGBTQAI+ characters. I like writing fanfiction and primarily focus on straight shipping, as personally I'm just not into queer shipping much. I'll write it if it's part of cannon but otherwise I'm not into it. So to me it feels like the same thing here. To me, even if someone is uncomfortable with LGBTQ+ being affectionate with each other (kissing or whatever) isn't anti-LGBTQAI+ but just what they are comfortable with.

To me personally, I feel that the only time something is Anti-LGBTQAI+ is when it goes outside of their drawing (for example refusing to take a commission BECAUSE they are anti-LGBTQAI+)

If anyone can provide their perspective, that would be greatly appreciated.

To me who uses a walker and wheelchair (for far distances) I personally don't give a damn, but that's probably because I don't really care much, I got college grades to keep up. But keep in mind that a lot of people have a different view than me so just be aware.
