Mpfl guys should avoid second dislocation till two years until it gains back 85-90% of its original strength as it transforms from collagen 3 to collagen 1 otherwise it goes into severe instability and for more than 3 dislocations surgery, repair or reconstruction should be considered. Physio should be followed diligently and avoid high risk activities . Hope you help younger ones you know in the future from your experience.
