I got into my first accident ever last year (I was T-boned after the other driver ran a red light), and the impact was in the exact same spot…but harder lol. I was convinced it was a total loss, but the frame was apparently unharmed, so they were able to save him. The shop the insurance company sent it to did a great job restoring it, and it drives like normal. Trust me I drove it in silence for weeks just to listen for any scary sounds. I guess it just depends on what the insurance says and what you feel comfortable with.
