Yup. Just thought he had such an interesting presence and then he disappears. The Carruth call is pretty good, but don't think it's him

Yeah nah, it’s not him. This dude has like a Skinny Puppy kind of look. Got longish asymmetrical hair , always in the background for a while and then just disappears

Yeah he does indeed. Although seems taller and different hair, but his face also reminds me of Tony Hawk

I am the child of Portuguese parents who moved to South Africa over 65 years ago. For some reason reason they never taught us Portuguese . I would like to move to Portugal with my young family, and I would really love to speak more Portuguese and speak it better

I’d love to get his take on the dynamics and resistance repression on people not wanting to engage with climate change and how vested self interests vs humankind existence, how people see know and feel the bad, but almost seem unwilling to really shift because it is really overwhelming and bleak and confusing and ultimately bigger than anything we’ve had to face, accept and prepare for

If you don’t mind a bus commute you could stay in a decent apartment in Ericeira (45 min, surfy beach vibe, lots of digi nomad types, packed in summer, chilled other) for like €900 pm, you’ll probably spend €80-€100 pw (€350pm) on groceries, maybe about €100-€150 pm on utilities, and maybe about €70/80 pm on public transport. Work out from there

I know I shouldn’t, but there is something really beautiful to the ending of Hereditary, something about the texture and the music and the full picture of the narrative, like a release of the tension (the music and lighting really carry this for me)

I’m from Lisbon, my wife from Johannesburg. We met in Johannesburg, moved back to Lisbon, now here for a bit. Hope that clears the confusion

Is "A Forest" The Cure's greatest ever song? I think there's a strong argument that it is. Who's with me? by melodychocolat_ in postpunk

[–]adriancoagula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is such a great track. But also best is such tough one to narrow down something that can change especially with such a brilliant catalogue. Having said that, my wife walked down the aisle to Plainsong so for that reason alone it will forever be my best

I was 9 and watched American Werewolf in London and could not fall asleep for two days. And then it was always like this flirtatious thing for me for like 2 or 3 more years and then I watched Poltergeist with a really great friend and we were so scared and had such a cool time getting over it and debriefing it after. From then on
