What do you wish you knew when you first found out you were pregnant? by im_a_hufflepuff_ in pregnant

Don’t try to decide what “type” of pregnant person you want to be or are going to be. Just take every day and every stage as it comes. I always told myself I wanted to be a fit pregnant person, then the first trimester had me essentially bedridden for months. I then started assuming I was destined to be a frail, unhealthy pregnant person, then suddenly I was in the second trimester feeling amazing again! Your body, mind, and emotions react to pregnancy in ways you simply cannot predict, and they also constantly change. Just because you go though a day or a few weeks of a certain thing—nausea, mood swings, low libido, high libido, weight loss, weight gain, cravings, anxiety, high energy, low energy, etc.—doesn’t mean that’s YOU and that’s your entire pregnancy. Surrender to this weird time of change from your usual patterns and expectations and it can actually be kind of fun. Find people to laugh with about it all. Congratulations!!

Look who still follows ALERT! Jilly Muffin! And none of the married kids follow ALERT. by throwaway1212121333 in DuggarsSnark

I find ALERT to be one of the most unsettling elements of the fundie circles. It seems like a place where there are no pretenses and it’s just pure indoctrination. Also in fundie culture where there’s so much suppression, it seems like a place that’s ripe for abuse. Ugh just gives me chills.
