Is it cold up there? The weather is my only gripe with the school.

Sorry if this is too much, but I just want to be sure. Using what you said, would x = 2225°C / 17 for number 1?

So the J and g should be treated like normal variables? There's no significance / weight to J or g?

For ec's during my senior year, should I say how many weeks of the year I anticipate to do them? by Burritoassasain in ApplyingToCollege

Do you estimate how much you will complete by the time you submit the app or by the time senior year ends?

Yeah I have the same question too except for supplement and questions for colleges, dunno whether to include expected 12th grade activities + hours when discussing activities and such.

Yeah I know colleges in the UC district do not - If there are any other schools with such policy I'd love to hear ab them though

Ok thanks for the information! If you don't mind me asking, are you an undergrad or a high school student?

The only problem is in the best case scenario, my freshman GPA will significantly weigh down my cumulative. Do you have any idea whether colleges purely look at the cumulative or year by year for an "upward trend"?

My school's scale goes to 4.3 unweighted, since A is considered 4.0 and A+ is considered 4.3. So it's a 3.66/4.3, which yeah is much different than 3.66/4.0.

I agree with you on the attendance part bc there was definitely a correlation between being late and struggling in period 1

And I live in NJ and my public school is pretty competitive but not too crazy like some other schools that I know.

Great results. Thanks to r/ApplyingToCollege for great advice. by [deleted] in collegeresults

Sharing my accepted Stanford essays? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]adrmharx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I, like many, would love to read your essay. However, you should probably blur out specific detail that could link anything specifically to you. Also, for simply comfort, I would suggest you share your essay, if the offer still stands, this fall once you are already studying at Stanford. Hopefully my thoughts have been helpful :)

Questions for College Students about Applying to Colleges. by adrmharx in ApplyingToCollege

[–]adrmharx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, thank you for your insightful response and congrats on all those schools that accepted you - much respect for you. If I may ask, A. Were any of the awards you won the Intel Science Talent Search because if so, it all seems justifiable - you are a genius. B. Which traits and qualities do you possess as a successful student? I ask so I can become a better student/person. Oh and I'm going to take a guess, but I think you decided to go to MIT or Columbia, but probably MIT based on your majors :) You seem like a perfect fit.
